At St. Peter and St. Paul, we learn the importance of health, teamwork, and perseverance, all of which are values that reflect the love and respect God has for us. PE also fosters a spirit of fair play and compassion, helping us grow in virtues like patience, respect, and kindness, as we strive to live out God’s teachings in every area of life.
At St Peter and Paul’s school, we believe all children have the potential to become better athletes through our high quality P.E curriculum. We provide every child with the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of sporting activities for fun and enjoyment, to increase their fitness and so that they may find a sport for life.
Through P.E. and sport, our children learn to develop our school’s learning values: Explore, Team work, Pride, Perseverance, Independence, Resilience, Aspiration, and Responsibility, leading to improved discipline, ambition, concentration, attitude, mental wellbeing and academic learning.
Our PE curriculum aims to ensure that all pupils develop the fundamental skills and competence to excel in a wide range of physical activities by providing a broad and balanced curriculum with opportunities for all to be enjoyed. Our curriculum is organised progressively in content and challenge; our PE curriculum is further enriched by external specialists and organisations.
Our PE Subject Leader is Mr A Diggle.
