On behalf of the pupils, staff and Governors, I would like to warmly welcome you to St Peter and St Paul’s RC Primary School website. I hope that your visit is informative and gives you an insight into the learning that takes place in our school, and the values and vision which underpins it.

As a Catholic school, we offer our children the opportunity to grow as young people and encourage them to develop a closer relationship with God, where Jesus is the good example of how we teach, pray, live, forgive, learn, work and play as a family.

There is so much to celebrate at St Peter & Paul’s, and I feel extremely honoured and privileged to be Head Teacher. Our school is a welcoming and happy school where people are helpful, considerate and respectful of each other.  The children are very happy and enjoy learning. We are fortunate to have such a dedicated team teachers, teaching assistants and other staff who strive to ensure that every child is successful, confident, resilient and responsible, equipped with all the skills they need to continue on their future learning journey.

We work in partnership with parents and carers and very much value the support and contribution they make to our school life. The school also enjoys a close partnership with St Patrick’s parish.
We offer a high quality, broad and balanced curriculum within our Catholic setting. We welcome children from the Catholic faith, other faiths and from families of no denomination. We recognise the uniqueness of each child and place a strong emphasis on getting to know and understand the needs of the individuals. We are proud of our caring and inclusive ethos and the happy, calm environment in which our children learn. We have high expectations of learning and behaviour for each pupil and aim to encourage them to achieve their full potential in all they do – their work, play and spiritual development. Our curriculum is diverse, thought provoking, creative and soaked in memorable experiences.

As a school we want our pupils to be excited about coming to school and excited about their learning; we want them to be curious about the world they live in, but most importantly we want our pupils to see themselves as learners who put no limit on what they can achieve.

We hope that you enjoy looking around our website – although this is only a tiny glimpse of how very special our school actually is.

Thank you,
Mrs Bates – Headteacher
